Avoiding Slips, Trips and Falls – This course discusses gravity, friction and momentum; causes of slips, trips and falls; avoidance techniques; stairs, ladders and other equipment, and the role of safety shoes.

Back Injury Prevention – This course instructs students in proper material handling techniques to prevent back and neck injuries.  Personal protective equipment and mechanisms of injury are also covered.

Defensive Driving Course – This course will teach students the necessary skills and concepts to help prevent collisions on our highways.  This is an in classroom course, so there are no risks involved in vehicle handling.  The skills and concepts learned can be easily translated to in-vehicle usage by the students.

Department of Transportation Training – This training is mandated for any employee who operates vehicles used to transport hazardous materials; those who load and unload hazardous materials; those who handle, store, pack, test, recondition, repair or modify hazardous material containers; and those who prepare shipping papers or purchase hazardous materials containers.

Drug and Alcohol Awareness Training for Supervisors –This workplace specific course instructs supervisors in how to recognize and handle employees who appear to be under the influence of a controlled substance.  Workplace policies and legal ramifications of dealing with substance related problems are also covered.

Electrical Safety Training – This course trains employees in safe work practices and utilization of safety devices that help to control, avoid or eliminate electrical hazards.

Ergonomics Training – Compromises and small improvements are the hallmarks of almost every organization’s commitment to the ergonomics program – however, long term effects can be dramatic.  Applied properly, the ergonomics principles will improve productivity, morale, health and safety.  This program is suitable for all in the work force as an introduction to ergonomics and to reinforce the principles that must be employed when addressing and eliminating ergonomics problems and injuries.

Eye Safety Training – This course covers the physiology of vision, the effects of eye injuries, and common types and causes of eye injuries.  Safety practices and selection and use of personal protective equipment for eyes are also discussed.

Forklift Safety Training – This classroom portion of OSHA required forklift safety training is appropriate for any employee who may be expected to operate a forklift.  The course includes major compliance requirements, surveying the work area, correct operating procedures, recognizing potential problems and equipment maintenance.  This course may be combined with Forklift Practical Application Training for complete compliance with OSHA’s forklift training regulation.

Forklift Practical Training – This course is hands-on training and an evaluation of the students’ forklift operational skills and inspection procedures.

General Safety Training – This course covers basic safety topics applicable to all employees.  Company safety policies and the company’s IIPP will be discussed.  General topics will include ladder safety, slips and falls, back injury prevention, and personal protective equipment.

Hearing Conservation and Safety Training – This course discusses types and causes of hearing damage, noise avoidance safety practices, and personal protective equipment for hearing conservation.  Also includes proper fitting and usage of earplugs.

Illness & Injury Prevention Plan (I.I.P.P.) Training – This training will teach you how to implement your Illness & Injury Prevention Plan for any new or temporary employees.  We suggest that your managers and supervisors attend the course as well.  It will be necessary for us to review your I.I.P.P. prior to this class.

Machine Safeguarding – This course teaches employees who operate machinery and equipment the proper use of machine safeguards.

Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Training – This course covers OSHA requirements for hand, eye, head, face and foot protection training.  This course includes site-specific/job specific instruction in the availability and proper use of PPE.

Pressurized Cylinder Safety Training – This class is appropriate for any employee who must handle pressurized cylinders.  The training will focus on the procedures necessary for safely handling pressurized gas cylinders.

Sexual Harassment in the Workplace – This workplace-specific course covers different types of sexual harassment scenarios and implementation of the company’s sexual harassment policies and procedures.

Violence in the Workplace – This workplace specific course covers different types of violence that can occur in the workplace.  The roles of the threat assessment team and the crisis management team are also discussed.

Voluntary Guide to Compliance (OSHA 501) – Designed by Federal OSHA, this course will familiarize supervisors and mangers with the most frequently cited OSHA violations.  The course also teaches personnel how to research various OSHA regulations.  A comprehensive, easy to read book from OSHA is available for an additional fee.  Participants receive a certificate of completion form the U.S. Department of Labor – OSHA.
